Pickup is arranged from your accommodation in Tirana, with designated meeting points for those in Lezha and Shkodra. You'll travel comfortably in an air-conditioned van for roughly 1.5 hours to the first stop. Here, you can grab a coffee, snack, use the facilities, or simply stretch your legs. To maintain a relaxed atmosphere, the guide will only provide a brief overview until after this break.
The journey then continues for another estimated 1.5 hours. During this section, the guide will share fascinating insights about Albania, the region, and what's planned for the day while you soak in views of mountains and lakes.
After approximately 3 hours of total driving, you'll reach the Komani Lake dam. Following the guide’s instructions, you'll navigate through a short tunnel to board the boat. A scenic 1-hour boat ride across Komani Lake awaits, offering dramatic mountain vistas, verdant landscapes, and crystal clear water - an ideal setting for capturing memorable photos.
Upon reaching Shala River, you'll have around 3 hours of leisure time. The guide will point out prime spots for swimming, unwinding, grabbing lunch, or sipping a drink by the river. An optional guided hike to the Shala River balcony for panoramic views is also available.
Finally, you'll return by boat and continue back to Tirana by van, making one brief stop for facilities and refreshments.
