Beskrivning

Nicosia är en fascinerande stad att utforska – här får du en inblick i två mycket olika världar. Rundturen börjar i den cypriotiska södra delen och passerar buffertzonen ”Green Line” för att utforska den norra delen av Nicosia.

Första stoppet är St Johns katerdal, byggd i fransk-bysantinsk stil – unik för Cypern – och Cyprus folkkonstmuseum, som ligger i det gamla ärkebiskopspalatset. Därefter följer en vandring genom de historiska gatorna i Laiki Geitonia innanför de venetianska stadsmurarna. Det är en labyrint av slingrande gator med kyrkor, torg och utsmyckade byggnader, och det känns mer som en by än ett stadskärna.

Efter att ha passerat den gröna linjen i norr får du höra berättelser om stadens historia och kultur medan du besöker några av de viktigaste sevärdheterna. Gå sedan tillbaka till södra delen till Ledra Street och upplev det moderna stadslivet på egen hand.

    Stavrula was extremely knowledgable and super friendly. She showed us and explained of most important bits of Nicosia’s history and culture. As that excursion has no lunch included she recommended us fantastic places with local food. Thank you for this journey Stav!!!!!

    We were picked up near our hotel which was convenient. We weren't sure we were waiting in the right place as the description wasn't completely clear. Pick up at the hotel would have been better. They were running late which was no problem but communication of this would have been helpful. We did call Tui and they were quick to answer so it was all good. This was a great tour. The coach was large, comfortable and with good AC. Our tour guide Stavroula was great. She was friendly and informative.

    Interesting your two very different sides of Nicosia. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. We were lucky to see tge arch bishop giving a service as it was easter weekend. A special thank you for sorting out my error with the ********** up. I picked a similar named hotel about 10 miles away from us. Customer Services sorted it. Thank you.
