Beskrivning

Under vattenytan kring Cypern döljer sig en hel skattkammare av marint liv. Detta får du chans att upptäcka utan dykcertifikat och tung utrustning. Med en undervattenspromenad med specialhjälm eller genom att köra undervattensscooter på havsbotten.

Du hämtas på hotellet och åker till Ayia Triada-stranden. Här går du ombord på båten som tar dig till plattformen. Allt du behöver är badkläder – all utrustning finns ombord så du behöver inte tänka på tunga tuber. Du kan till och med behålla glasögon eller kontaktlinser när du hoppar i vattnet.

Välj mellan en undervattenspromenad där du promenerar på havsbotten iförd hjälm som pumpar in frisk luft. Det finns även en tur med undervattensscooter där du kan beundra det marina livet utan att bli blöt. Den genomförs med hjälp en B.O.B – Breathing Observation Bubble – och en instruktör som guidar dig längs vägen.

Caledonia Waterfalls full-day tour with local guide and lunch

Trade the beach for the cool, shaded vibes of the Troodos Mountains – where nature's about to blow your mind. We're talking a three-kilometre hike, leading you to Caledonia Falls, one of Cyprus's tallest and most beautiful waterfalls, before heading to the village of Platres for a tasty, traditional lunch. The falls were named by a Scottish expedition in 1878, who were so wowed by how much it reminded them of home, they named it after Caledonia, the Roman name for Scotland. Afterwards, you'll head to Psilo Dendro, in Platres, for a well-deserved lunch. With its own trout farm, the fish here is as fresh as it gets – the perfect way to wrap up your mountain adventure.

Full-day guided tour of Fikardou, Machairas and Lefkara

You'll leave no stone unturned as you explore Cyprus's hidden corners. This exclusive excursion takes in remote highland villages, dramatic landscapes and a revered monastery. It also includes a traditional Cypriot lunch. Stavroula, one of our local guides on this tour, says, ‘Fikardou village is an excellent example of rural mountain life, where the 19th-century architecture is in complete harmony with the environment.' A real taste of what's to come.Heading inland, you'll arrive mid-morning at rustic and laidback Fikardou. All cobblestones and historic houses, time seems to have frozen here. And with free time to explore, you'll find that ancient traditions still hold their way. It's so well-preserved that it's on UNESCO's tentative list of world heritage sites. Next, you'll head to the 12th-century Macharias Monastery, which is located on a remote hillside. Its lavishly decorated interior houses a sacred icon of the Virgin Mary.Then, it's time for a traditional Cypriot lunch, prepared with locally sourced ingredients and served at a family-run restaurant on the way to Lefkara. The tour ends on a high in charming Lefkara, a village famed for its handmade lace and embroidery. ‘Women, young and old, can be seen seated outside their homes and shops making lace,' says Stavroula. ‘For hundreds of years, the men from the village have travelled all over Europe to sell it, even Leonardo da Vinci bought some.'

Magic Dancing Waters Ticket

For an evening filled with lights, magic and music, look no further than Cyprus's very own Magic Dancing Waters show. There'll be a colourful hour-long performance which is guaranteed to captivate all ages.Take your seat and prepare yourself for a dazzling feast for the eyes. The lights will be dimmed and 18,000 nozzles will come to life spurting jets of water into the air – all in time with the music. With more lights than you can count –12,000 to be exact – the water will be illuminated to create a colourful display.What's more, the fountain will make 65 different shapes in total, including a 60-metre-long curtain of water with smoke machines and cannons all adding to the drama. The gardens here are a world away from the hubbub of Ayia Napa, with acres of woodland and gardens, as well as a maze to roam and connect with nature. There's a big focus here on natural products like oils, soaps and teas – all made from plants grown in their nine herb gardens that you'll get to visit. You'll start with a guided tour of the park's gardens, including a fun scavenger hunt to get the kids running around and exploring. Then, it's on to the distillation room, where you'll get a quick lesson on the power and benefits of herbs and essential oils – remember to breathe in deeply for the full aromatic experience.
