Beskrivning

Åk på en actionfylld off-road-safari genom ljuvliga landskap och låt dig charmas av Boa Vistas orörda skönhet. Roberto, en av våra lokalguider, säger: "Vianaöknen är Boa Vistas alldeles egna del av Sahara. Dess sand blåses in från västra Afrika och skapar enorma sanddyner, som vi kommer åka över.' Lämna ingen sten ovänd när du besöker skeppsvraket på Santa Maria-stranden, innan vi stannar till i byarna Sal Rei och Povoaçao Velha. Dessutom ingår en lunch vid havet på stranden.

Det roliga börjar i Vianaöknen. Känn vinden i håret när du mullrar över sanddynerna i ett off-road-fordon. Sedan upptäcker du det rostiga skeppsvraket Cabo de Santa Maria – en symbol för Boa Vista. Roberto säger: 'Det finns cirka 150 skeppsvrak på Kap Verdes öar, men det här är det mest mystiska av dem alla. Det är också ett bra ställe att ta en selfie.' Vi gör ett snabbt stopp i Sal Rei för en glimt av huvudstadens fiskebrygga, innan en lunch tillagad på lokala råvaror serveras på en närliggande strandrestaurang.

Nästa stopp är Povoaçao Velha – den äldsta bosättningen på ön. Ta en titt runt denna isolerade by och njut av en glimt av det lokala livet innan vi beger oss till Santa Monica-stranden. Med 15 km vit sand och böljande sanddyner är det inte konstigt att den röstats fram som en av världens 10 bästa stränder. Ett perfekta stället att avsluta utflykten.

Bra sätt att se hela ön. Lång dag och lite turistfällor (sandboarding, vraket och kyrkan) Mycket off road- körning, så bered dig på en bumpy ride. Bäst var möjligheten att bada på Sta Monica Beach. Trevlig guide, men behöver tala lite långsammare när inte ens engelsmännen förstår vad han säger. Glad att vi åkte, men skulle inte göra det igen

För mycket terrängkörning. Hälften hade räckt. Annars var det trevliga platser vi besökte. Lite kort tid (45 min) i huvudstaden Sal rei. Kunde varit dubbelt så lång tid. Duktig och trevlig chaufför. Duktig och trevlig guide. Överlag en mycket bra utflykt.
