What to expect

This full-day tour includes a great outdoor excursion into the wonders of nature and an opportunity to enjoy one of the most impressive icons in Sicily.

First, you will pass by the Alcantara Gorge, where the river has cut a stunning canyon into the lava stone. Then, you will aim for the pulsing and flaming heart of the island. On your way to Piano Provenzana, which is located at 1.900 Mt above sea level, the guide will tell you some interesting facts about the mountain, the highest active volcano on the European continent. Once you get there you will enjoy the unique view.

You can choose to remain at 1.900 meters or head up to 2.900 meters by moon bus, where you will meet an Alpine guide or a volcanologist who will take you on a guided walk around a crater at the summit.
