Att göra – Torre de Belém
Lissabons mest fotograferade monument är utan tvekan den majestätiska Torre de Belém. Fästningstornet som ligger vid Freguesia i Santa Maria de Belém, även känd som Saint Vincent -tornet, har också status som UNESCO:s kulturarv, och det är också symbolen för Portugals stora förflutna för utforskning och upptäckt. På uppdrag av kung João II för att vara en del av försvarssystemet som vetter mot floden Tagus och även som en ceremoniell inkörsport till Lissabon, byggdes tornet faktiskt på 1500 -talet helt med lioz -kalksten med inslag av flera arkitektoniska stilar men mestadels portugisiska Manueline. Byggd på en ö nära Lissabons strand, i många år har det felaktigt angivits att tornet byggdes i mitten av Tagus och nu ligger nära stranden eftersom floden omdirigerades efter jordbävningen i Lissabon 1755. Belém-tornet lades till den 7 juli 2007 i registret för de sju underverken i Portugal.

“Expérience décevante, les activités de cette journée ne justifient pas le prix. On passe autant de temps dans le bus qu'à visiter ou découvrir même si nous en étions conscients lors de la réservation, Lisbonne est peut-être une ville historique mais mise à part la visite du monastère et la dégustation Pasteis de nata et qui puisait rapidement en descendant du bus sur le trottoir avant de nous libérer pour partir en toute autonomie visiter la ville. Des magasins, des restaurants et rien de plus.”
