A warm welcome at the beachside village of Afitos awaits on this evening excursion. It's the place to be on the weekends, too, with live music, shops and traditional tavernas churning out steaming hot plates of delicious food. You'll be dropped off in the village for the evening where you can eat, drink and do as much or as little as you want.

When it comes to national treasures, Mt Athos is right up there with the Acropolis in Athens. Halkidiki's easternmost peninsula is the world's only monastic republic, ruled over by the black-robed monks of its monasteries. Access is restricted, with all women – and female animals except cats – forbidden to set foot on its shores.

With all the planning taken care of, you'll be able to while away the hours in total relaxation under the bright Greek sun before we arrive at the first swim stop. Plunge into the cooling sea and try some snorkelling to spot the sea life.Once you're back on board we'll continue along the coast for another swim stop. Along the way, you can enjoy a few glasses of wine, beer or soft drinks alongside, snacks, fruit, and fresh Greek yoghurt. And on the way back to port, you can even play captain with a short sailing lesson from the crew.
