Att göra – Torre de Belém
Lissabons mest fotograferade monument är utan tvekan den majestätiska Torre de Belém. Fästningstornet som ligger vid Freguesia i Santa Maria de Belém, även känd som Saint Vincent -tornet, har också status som UNESCO:s kulturarv, och det är också symbolen för Portugals stora förflutna för utforskning och upptäckt. På uppdrag av kung João II för att vara en del av försvarssystemet som vetter mot floden Tagus och även som en ceremoniell inkörsport till Lissabon, byggdes tornet faktiskt på 1500 -talet helt med lioz -kalksten med inslag av flera arkitektoniska stilar men mestadels portugisiska Manueline. Byggd på en ö nära Lissabons strand, i många år har det felaktigt angivits att tornet byggdes i mitten av Tagus och nu ligger nära stranden eftersom floden omdirigerades efter jordbävningen i Lissabon 1755. Belém-tornet lades till den 7 juli 2007 i registret för de sju underverken i Portugal.

“Ce n'était pas une guide mais plutôt une accompagnatrice, Quelques mots sur certains monuments, sans plus, une carte de Lisbonne et nous nous sommes vu lâché dans la ville avec le devoir d'être revenu au même endroit 3h30 plus tard Franchement ça ne vaut pas le coup, je pensais qu'on aurait un peu d'historique de la ville, informations sur des personnages historiques.....
