Complete chaos, no VIP check in, kept waiting outside airport for 15 minutes with no one doing anything. Asked for details several times, after further 15 minutes with no communication from TUI rep ushered inside to form a queue for check in. Stood another 15 minutes before being fed into normal check in line. No verbal communication at all as to what and where to go, them ushered through passport checks, arriving in lounge almost one hour after arriving at airport.

The ability to avoid the queues was excellent. The range of drinks provided in the lounge was excellent. The only letdown was the quality of snacks provided in the lounge.

I feel unfortunately there were too many people booked in to use the service. There was 1 person trying to support 18 people move through the check in process. He was pushing us in front of the other check in desks that were open where people had been waiting meaning us getting verbally abused and berated NOT at all a VIP service. Due to the time taken to get through check in and security we were in the lounge for 45 minutes although at the airport 2 hours before boarding!

Quick service going through bag drops, security and passport control. Guide stayed with us until we were safely in the lounge. An abundance of soft and alcohol drinks, help yourself. Wrapped handmade tasty rolls and sweet muffins and doughnuts available. Airport Guide came back to us to inform us of boarding gate and took us through one final passport check and to gate. Seeing the lack of seating and huge queues made this service invaluable. There was no Air-conditioning in the main terminal

This trip also includes free time in the resorts of Rethymnon, plus a tour of the Cretan capital, Heraklion. Andreas, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The Minoans were very advanced, and the Palace of Knossos showcases architectural techniques such as multi-storey buildings and a sophisticated drainage system that were ahead of their time.'You'll start the morning in Rethymnon's maze of colourful streets, where you can browse the shops, find a little cafe or head down to the harbour. Curving around the small bay, Rethymnon harbour is as pretty as it is old. The views of the Venetian-era Fortezza and out to sea are a delight. Next up is Crete's capital, Heraklion. Here, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the city's best bits, such as the Venetian lion fountain and the loggia. And with fast-track access, there's no waiting around in queues.It's then time to head to Heraklion, the island's capital. This tour takes in the historic Agia Triada Monastery, a guided tour of Chania and time to unwind at Crete's only natural lake. Angeliki, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Agia Triada offers a glimpse into Crete's rich cultural heritage. It was built during the Venetian period and boasts an impressive array of frescoes and religious artefacts. The monastery is an oasis of tranquillity, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.'After exploring the monastery, you'll head up to the Hill of Prophet Elias, also known as Profitis Ilias, to soak up the insta-worthy views here. Then, you'll continue to Chania, one of Crete's most appealing port towns. Steeped in history and renowned for its atmospheric Venetian harbour, you'll explore its narrow streets on a guided tour. Full-day Crete wine-tasting and 4x4 off-road tour

This full-day guided tour is all about getting to grips with a few of Crete's most popular local products, olive oil and wine. You'll learn how both are made, and you'll get to sample some for yourself, all while travelling between stops in the back of a 4x4. Ioannis, one of our expert local guides says “in my opinion, there's no better way to understand the culture of a destination than by meeting the people who make local produce. They know the area better than anyone, and the produce is a reflection of the culture.”You'll kick things off at the Terra Creta Olive Mill. Here, you'll see how olives are turned into oil before a tasting session. Then, you'll be welcomed into a boutique winery for a tour of the grounds and, of course, to sample the wines produced here. You'll learn about the different grape varieties, including some experimental wines made from rare grapes. Next, you'll continue to the village of Ano Vouves, home to an ancient olive tree – it's thought to be between 2,000 and 4,000 years old, but it still produces olives to this day.Afterwards, you'll set off on an off-road adventure in a 4x4 towards the mountain village of Sebronas. As you zoom through the gorge, you'll see pretty chapels, vineyards and olive groves – and you'll have time to snap a few photos along the way. Then, once you've worked up your appetite, you'll stop for lunch at a small village tavern, where you'll tuck into some traditional dishes.
