Ting at foretage sig på Pantheon
Pantheon blev bygget i den augustianske periode og er dedikeret til alle guderne, der blev tilbedt i det gamle Rom. Med fremkomsten af Kristendommen blev Pantheon omdannet til en kristen basilika i det tidlige syvende århundrede ved navn Santa Maria della Rotonda. Denne konvertering har gjort det muligt for den at forblive intakt gennem århundreder og upåvirket af plyndringer af og skade på de klassiske bygninger i Rom.
I dag har Pantheon status som "basilica minore", en mindre basilika, og huser millioner af turister hvert år.
