Be prepared around 5 AM for the pickup from your hotel in Koh Lanta. At Tung Yee Peng a local community guide will welcome you and bring you to your gondola boat. The village captain will set sail towards Lanta Bay in the Andaman Sea using just paddles and no engine to enforce the peacefulness of this tour. As the sun is rising, you'll see the sky changing into a colorful painting and hear birds singing their morning chants.
While you enjoy a small local breakfast (fish and sticky rice) with coffee or hot chocolate, you'll head back to the pier. On the way, the captain will show you the mangrove forest from up close and you'll try to spot the macaque monkeys that are living in it. Even though the chance is likely that macaques will be spotted, wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Around 9 AM, you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
